2nd Chemical Crystallography Workshop

May 25–29, 2010, McMaster University, Hamilton

The Canadian National Committee for Crystallography (CNCCr) is once again running a Chemical Crystallography Workshop as a satellite to the CSC meeting. The school is primarily for Chemistry grad students who wish to learn a some basic crystallography theory and practice (easy on the formulas, lots of 3D images and hands-on) and some training on the public domain WinGX/Shelx software package. It was very successful in Hamilton last year, and we plan to follow through again in Montreal and beyond.

McMaster will host the workshop again this year, and it will run from May 25th to May 29th. The registration deadline is May 7th, and information can be found at McMaster X-Ray Diffraction Facility. Chuck Campana from Bruker-AXS will be one of our instructors this year. Residence rooms are available at McMaster and travel to Toronto is quick and inexpensive.
